Our Goal

From the beginning, the goal of Kurrent Motion has been to share the awesomeness of the Hoop! 

To share hula hooping as a full body workout beyond traditional waist hooping. To promote a fun fitness for all ages, genders, and skill levels. 

Our Mission

To share a playful fitness experience that incorporates cardio, strength and skills in a safe and encouraging environment. To ensure everyone's success and promote a hoop practice beyond the class and create community.

Our Instructor

Founder of Kurrent Motion, Karrie Blackburn, discovered hooping in the Summer 2009. What began as a fun way to exercise and lose weight, quickly grew in to her passion. Since then, she has traveled to over 15 countries with her hoops learning, teaching and performing. Karrie is a certified Hoop Instructor through Hoop Play Canada as well as Hooplovers Australia. With over 3 years of teaching experience, Karrie hosts hoop fitness classes in community centres and schools across Winnipeg and Manitoba.
